What is CertAIn, in one sentence?
AI hiring that explains itself. CertAIn gives every candidate a fit score against your JD — and the reasoning behind it — across ranking, interview prep, AI evaluation, and post-interview analysis. A score a recruiter can defend to a hiring manager, a candidate, or a regulator.
Is CertAIn for high-volume hiring?
CertAIn is built for the candidates you actually consider — depth on the decisions that matter, not auto-rejection at scale. That works at real volume: a growth-stage team running heavy applicant flow on a few critical reqs is a great fit, and scoring the whole pile is unlimited. The one job CertAIn doesn’t do is fast knockout screening that auto-rejects tens of thousands — for that, Workable or Paradox will serve you better. Agencies and in-house teams of any size are welcome.
What are the four AI actions, and what do they cost?
Nothing extra — they’re all included on every plan. Ranking / screening gives a fit score and a clean, formatted resume on every candidate, for the whole pile, unlimited. The three deeper actions — AI Evaluation, Interview Prep, and Interview Analysis — are included too: run them on any candidate, in any order, as many times as you need, with no per-candidate fee. What does "workflow-gated" mean?
Interview Analysis can only run on a candidate who already has an AI Evaluation on file. Evaluation is the baseline; Analysis compares against it. Running Analysis with no Evaluation would be weaker signal with nothing to compare against — so we don’t let you. It’s a quality gate, not a pricing one — every action is included on your plan.
Does CertAIn replace my ATS?
No. CertAIn is the judgment layer on top of your ATS. Greenhouse integration is live today; Ashby and Lever are on the roadmap. Your system of record stays where it is.
Is the AI "the model itself" or a workflow around it?
A workflow around it. CertAIn runs on a leading commercial LLM, but the raw model isn’t the product — the structured workflow is. Our differentiation is the structured prompts, the workflow gating, the per-tenant context (company profile + JD overrides + intake notes) that grounds every read in your organization, and the reasoning-paragraph output format. Which model runs underneath is an internal implementation detail.

Is candidate scoring really unlimited?
Yes — score every applicant against every req, re-run searches as often as you want, on every plan. No per-candidate fee, no per-screen fee, no credits. Plans are sized to your team, not by how much you score.
What do the plans cost?

How does billing work?
Annual, in USD, by invoice — paid via ACH or check. No public checkout, no card on file, no auto-renewing surprise. You sign a contract, we provision your tenant, your team starts that week.
How are plans sized?
We size every plan to your team and your hiring volume, not to how much you score. Agencies, where “running a desk” is the native unit, are sized by recruiter desk; in-house teams are sized to the TA team and the org behind it. Either way, hiring-manager and coordinator accounts are included — they never count against your plan or carry a per-seat fee. We land on the right tier with you on the demo.
Do you integrate with Greenhouse?
Yes — Greenhouse integration is live now. Import candidates and JDs, run the AI actions, and push the reasoning back onto the candidate record as notes. The product also works standalone if you’d rather not connect it.
What about Ashby, Lever, and agency ATSes?
Greenhouse integration is live today; Ashby and Lever are on the roadmap. Agency-focused systems (Bullhorn, Loxo and the like) are prioritized by customer demand — if that’s your stack, tell us and it weighs the queue.
Can I use CertAIn with an AI notetaker like Metaview, Otter, or Fireflies?
Yes. Paste the transcript into Interview Analysis. No integration required for the basics; deeper integrations on the roadmap.
Is CertAIn compliant with NYC Local Law 144 (AEDT)?
AEDT regulates the employer, not the vendor — so the accurate answer is that CertAIn is built to support your AEDT compliance. CertAIn does not make automated hiring decisions; every output is a recommendation to a human. We ship a bias-audit data export ready for an independent auditor, plus a candidate AI disclosure template. More on security & compliance.
What about Illinois AIVIA and the EU AI Act?
We support your compliance with both. Illinois AIVIA via the candidate disclosure template and explanation-on-request (every AI action produces a reasoning paragraph). EU AI Act (Annex III high-risk hiring) via architectural human oversight and append-only activity logging. We’ll share architecture documentation under NDA for formal conformity review.
Are you SOC 2 certified?
Not yet. We’re targeting the start of a SOC 2 Type I audit in Q3 2026, with Type II to follow. The architecture is audit-ready today — scoped controls, logging, access review, secret rotation, backup/DR. We’ll share current control documentation under NDA for enterprise security reviews.
How is my data isolated from other tenants?
Enterprise-grade per-tenant isolation, enforced at the data layer — one customer’s data can never surface in another’s. Super-admin access is the only bypass path and is logged to an append-only audit trail. Full security architecture and our sub-processor list are available under NDA as part of a security review. Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your inputs are never used to train shared or cross-customer AI models, and we never send your data to a third-party training pipeline or pool it across customers. The calibration that tunes CertAIn to your team lives in your account, on your data, and is never used to evaluate another customer’s candidates — your data stays in your tenant.
How long do you keep candidate data?
Default retention is up to 24 months from last activity, configurable per tenant within what applicable law allows, after which candidate data is eligible for deletion. You can delete candidate data at any time, and we honor deletion requests. When data is deleted, we hold it for a 30-day recovery window — a deliberate anti-resurrection buffer for audit and accident recovery — and then remove it permanently.
What happens if I cancel?
Your account stays accessible for 30 days to export data. After that window, your data is permanently deleted. We send a reminder before it’s removed. No hostage tactics, no retention call.
What about OpenAI's hiring platform?
It’s announced for mid-2026 and will be an impressive distribution story. It’s also a general-purpose tool, not a recruiting workflow — so the open questions are whether it will integrate with your Greenhouse, carry reasoning between ranking and post-interview analysis, or give you per-tenant isolation, a bias-audit export, and pricing built for hiring.
