Built for the recruiters whose judgment the volume breaks first.
CertAIn is a small, founder-led company building AI that partners with recruiters instead of pretending to replace them. Here's the why, not the "our mission" version.
Where this came from.
Every piece of AI-hiring software on the market right now is marketed the same way: faster, cheaper, 10x productivity. Built, implicitly, to reject faster. Built for the company doing the hiring, occasionally for the candidate, almost never for the recruiter actually holding the pipeline.
The recruiter is the one you hear the least about and the one the volume breaks first. Five hundred to a thousand candidates per open role. Ten to fifteen thousand resumes a month. Thirty seconds of attention per resume, often from bed before the workday officially starts. One percent ever reach a hiring manager. The best people get lost in that flow. The wrong ones get advanced. And the person whose judgment matters most — the recruiter — is the first thing that overflows.
CertAIn exists because that's solvable without firing the judgment. AI doesn't have to be the thing that replaces a senior recruiter's thinking. It can be the thing that gives them back the hours they currently spend on triage — and returns a written paragraph of reasoning for every candidate, that a recruiter can read, defend, and improve on.
That's the product. That's the company. The category we're building is AI hiring that explains itself — and it starts with the recruiter, not the algorithm.
Jon Senger — founder.
Jon Senger. Palm Harbor, Florida. Building CertAIn because the people paying for AI hiring tools today are the wrong audience — and the people holding the actual pain are recruiters, who nobody builds for.
Jon has spent the last several months in direct conversation with senior recruiters at agencies and enterprise companies, watching the real workflow and listening for the real complaints. The product reflects that — ranking is the first feature because 1% pass-through from 500 resumes is the first problem. Interview prep is the second because prepping in ten minutes on a lunch break is the second.
If you want to talk — about the product, the category, or whether CertAIn is a fit for your pipeline — email Jon directly at jon@certainhr.ai. During the design-partner phase that's the literal inbox, not a team alias.
Why “CertAIn”.
Recruiting, when you need to be CertAIn. The tagline came before the wordmark. The "AI" is in the middle of the word because it sits in the middle of the workflow — not above it, not replacing it. The partnership frame is in the name, not stapled on after.
The design-partner offer.
We're taking a small group of design partners now — pilot terms, direct line to the founder, product shaped around your real pipeline. In practice that means: you get the full product at a pilot price, Jon is on a shared Slack channel or direct line, and what you tell us is in the roadmap the following week.
If you run recruiting at an agency or in-house at a growth-stage or enterprise company, and you've hit the volume ceiling this page describes, we'd like to talk.
